Many of the Australian descendants of  William and Joan Ripper of Cariurral in 16th century Cornwall, and from elsewhere as are able, will come together in Stratford, Victoria, Australia over the weekend of 30th and 31st October 2004 to celebrate more than 150 years of Rippers in Australia and a family that dates back to 16th Century Cornwall.
There have been a number of Ripper migrations to Australia from Cornwall the first on the "Lysander" in the late 1840s and the latest as recently as the 1950s.
Those attending will have the option of home hosting with local Ripper family members or a range of accommodation in Stratford or the adjoining towns of Sale and Maffra.
